About

Roxane has always been interested in the arts. She studied art throughout school and studied Art History as part of her first university degree. She held her first exhibition at the age of 16 at Brixton Art Gallery. This was a display of some of her life drawing sketches…

However it was not until 2003 that Roxane found that she had a passion for photography. This discovery was made in the history-soaked streets of New Orleans. For two weeks, Roxane took photographs of everything she could see. This ranged from tattooed bikers riding their shiny choppers; streetcars chugging along Canal Street, towering mausoleums, voodoo dolls and jazz musicians playing in a smoky Storyville Parlour…

At some point during her return journey between Gatwick Airport and home, Roxane was bit by the travel bug. She has since travelled to various glamorous destinations around the globe including Machu Picchu, the Peruvian rain forests, Egypt, Hong Kong, the Galapagos Islands and Eritrea (East Africa). Roxane plans to travel to many more and has taken photographs everywhere she has gone…

From May 2003 until April 2006, Roxane used a Canon Powershot A40. Her bank manager has since allowed her to graduate to a Canon Powershot S2 IS and more recently, a Canon 450D. All of her most recent photographs have been taken with this camera…
